Field Service Engineer – Forklifts & Materials Handling

The opportunity

Evolve Partners is seeking to connect with experienced Field Service Engineers for a potential permanent opportunity within the materials handling sector.

The role would suit a practical, self-motivated engineer who enjoys working independently, solving technical problems and delivering a high standard of service to customers.

I'm particularly interested in speaking with engineers who have experience maintaining and repairing forklift trucks and related materials handling equipment, although candidates from relevant agricultural engineering backgrounds are also encouraged to get in touch.

The role

Typical responsibilities would include:

• Servicing, maintaining and repairing forklift trucks and materials handling equipment.
• Diagnosing mechanical, electrical and hydraulic faults.
• Attending customer sites to carry out planned maintenance and breakdown repairs.
• Identifying faults and delivering practical, reliable solutions.
• Maintaining accurate service records and working to appropriate safety standards.
• Building positive relationships with customers through dependable, professional service.

What they're looking for

I'm interested in hearing from engineers who can demonstrate:

• Experience servicing and repairing forklift trucks or similar equipment.
• Strong mechanical, hydraulic and electrical fault-finding skills.
• The ability to work independently and take ownership of technical problems.
• A practical, hands-on approach and a strong work ethic.
• Good communication skills and a customer-focused attitude.
• A full UK driving licence.
• Experience working across multiple equipment brands would be particularly relevant.

Engineers from agricultural machinery servicing backgrounds with transferable diagnostic and repair skills are also welcome to enquire.
