Programme Director, Data Centres

The opportunity

A Tier 1 contractor delivering a £500m hyperscale data centre campus on the edge of London needs a programme lead to take it from enabling works to energisation. The board wants one person who owns the whole programme and can talk to the end client as an equal.

The role

• Lead the full programme across design, construction and commissioning
• Own the relationship with the end client and their technical team
• Hold cost, schedule and risk to account through monthly board reporting
• Build and lead a delivery team of package managers and engineers
• Bring grid connection and long-lead equipment under control early

What they're looking for

• Programme leadership on mission-critical or data centre builds above £200m
• Confidence with hyperscale or colocation clients
• A track record of handing over on time, with the evidence to back it
• Calm, direct communication at board level
• Willingness to be on site in the South East most of the week

£140,000 to £170,000 plus benefits (sample figure)
